It was the only hotel that accepted credit card. Overall, it was a nice experience, except for the fact that some rooms shared bathroom. I do recomend this hotel.

this is a tough one as we lived the place on many ways but in others it really lets itself down...
the food (a lil overpriced tho) was excellent but, the supplied continental breakfast was rediculously small... the staff are lovely and friendly and the location is un-beatable.
but, our room had so many gaps letting insects in. they painted...

Hotel is a small business very close to the pier where you can get a boat to St. Pedro. A journey there costs 10Q (1 EUR at the time of writing).
Hotel is according to my opinion one of the best in San Marcos. Room was spacious, bathroom was basic, but with hot water.
At the main building you have...

We were staying for 2 nights at Posada Schumann in San Marcos La Laguna. We really liked the location and lakeview. The cabana was also nice. But the service is awful. The first day we got the "continental" breakfast (toast, marmelade and butter) but when we came for breakfast they told us that the kitchen is closed since there was...

I absolutely loved this hotel.... which is considered the best of San Marcos La Laguna... It's strategically located in front of the lake... it has temazcal (mayan sauna) and kayak service included in the hotel rate. The food is good and the enviroment is peaceful and charming.
It's perfect to go there with your special one, but it's also a...

Bungalow #2 & #1 are where you want to be ... by the lake, in front of the restaurant (w/ good privacy and separation from the restaurant) .. have great lake views, plus have sweet little front yards ... very sweet, charming places to stay. #8 can sleep many, has places outside to sit and see lake through trees though...

I went to a trip with my friends, we were hotel hoping until we found the Posada. The staff was great, the food delicious and the room (the lake view room) was gorgeos. We had so much fun we ended up staying three more nights. It was the only hotel with water activities such as kayaking and the only one...

The best part about this place is the location, right in front of the boat docks with a beautiful view of Lake Attilan. That being said, you are paying for the location. There are much better quality hotels to be found in San Marcos. The staff isn't very helpful (I had to ask for towels and toilet paper in the...

Although this benefits from prime position on the lake, the lack of welcome and general apathy of the staff, make Posada Schuman a real disappointment. The bathrooms are of budget standard, even in the most expensive lake-view room, the shower was a mere dribble of warm water. Cleaning was extremely minimal and sheets were not changed. The continental breakfast was...

We had a very unpleasant stay at the Posada Schumman.
First, it’s overpriced; they quote their price per person so if you are two or more it becomes quickly very expensive. We paid $56 for a room with a decent view (we had a much better view at the Arca de Noe the next day), no hot water, and very...
