This Hotel is ripe with history but manages to keep a reasonably modern standard anyway. The drawback is that there is no elevator but plenty of stairs. As an adventure I went to Ribe by train from Copenhagen and was waiting for taxi near the railway station. After 30 minits a person on cycle who noticed me waiting came to and asked me for whome. Authentic, old, historical are all bad excuses for expensive below standard accommodation. No elevators, no telephones in the room (!) no easy access because of ongoing roadworks, bad quality linen and horrible pillows, bad taste all over, tiny old bathrooms.
