Our initial impressions were not great as when we arrived on a Sunday evening, it transpired the restairant was closed unexpectedly - we were notified the day before by email, but we hadn't got access to email whilst on holiday... There was also a slight mix-up about the room. However, once this was resolved, everything was lovely and service was... More

We have stayed in numerous hotels but the stay in Castel de Tres Girard was like a cold shower. Unbelievable how one person can make a stay very unpleasant by not giving the guests the feeling that they are welcome and by acting as if everything is too much. The room was nice, the food too but overall it was... More

We travelled with an active 7 year old. She was equally welcome although it would not suit families for a long period unless you are exploring the area. Rooms and bes are comfortable and clean, views are beautiful. The restaurant for dinner was excellent, service was prefessional. Breakfast was a bit of a let down but overall a very pleasant... More

The hotel rooms were on the top floor which I did not know when I booked. No complaints at all about the room. Fresh, clean, great linens and shower. Air and/or heat as needed. The bedside lights in Room 6 do not really shine in the right place to read. You have to get up from the bed to turn... More

The hotel was very clean and nicely presented. The rooms are very modern although the bathrooms have not been modernised, but are nonetheless clean. we were travelling with a 3 month old baby which was not a problem, except there is no lift and we were given a room on the 2nd floor (top) so there are a lot of... My husband and I stayed here for two nights in August bc the cycling tour we were on had chosen this hotel for us. Our room overlooked several noisy and ugly exhaust vents, and oddly lacked any dresser drawers to store clothing in. The pastries at breakfast were particularly bad (probably straight from the freezer and then burned in the... More

Arrived after a long drive, only staff around was a receptionist. Eventually going to the bar for a drink we had to wait for half an hour to be served, and that was only when we went to the receptionist herself. Dinner was very very disappointing.... breakfast the same.....croissants were overcooked and totally dry.... never again. More

A two night stay here on our way through France was well worth it. The hotel did not get off to a great start - reception is only manned at times, but when someone did turn up everything was excellent. The room was tastefully decorated and very large and very clean. We had booked half board (there is nowhere else... More

Set in a lovely position with views out to the vineyards with a small swimming pool and gardens to sit in, the hotel is well placed. Our room was large with good views accross the (ugly) restaurant roof to the vineyards. The bed and bed linens were very uncomfortable. The restaurant and bar area were both attractive though we felt... More
