Arrived (family of five) after hard day's cycling ( Lands End J'Groats) - and got a warm welcome. Bikes parked safely round the back. Decorating & bedding was really high standard. A lovely B&B in a lovely town.

Pat's welcome was very friendly and efficient. The ensuite room was very nicely decorated and warm., which was appreciated in the cold of November. Everytime I go to Cumbria, I stay at the Wyck House. Since I've been there for the first time (about 10 years ago) it has always been a great place to stay. Excellent location in a very lovely town. The rooms are cosy and clean. The English breakfast is lovely! Great B&B to explore the Lake district too.

excellent location right on the main street, off road parking, dated decor, not a great welcome from host who appeared not to be really bothered, but as we weren't there to see her I guess it doesn't really matter. Stayed for a night with some friends and found the welcoming somewhat frosty, the rooms were dated but clean. We had a great weekend but found Pat rude!

The room was clean, recently decorated in an uneasy mixture of styles from the 1950's. 60's and 70's. The room was over full of lots of unmatched nic nacs and plastic / nylon flowers. There was hot water available in the small shower room and clean towels. Clean, patterned sheets and duvet and thin pillows which made a scratchy noise... More
