I had lunch here today- Chicken Madras was tasty and I enjoyed it. good size portion for under £10. My companion had a burger and chips that he didn't enjoy too much. Place was packed for lunch, Nice pint - good atmosphere and friendly staff. They are dog friendly too.

Stayed here for a couple of nights touring the area.I echo all the previous comments,food, accommodation,hospitality all lovely.If you go make sure you go on a Wednesday and enjoy the splendid jazz night.

For something different try this pub on a Wednesday night, when you can enjoy exquisite food complimented by a superb jazz quintet playing mellow jazz. Advisable that you book as these nights can/do get very popular.

Booked one nights B & B and were really glad we did. A lovely old pub with real ale barrels behind the bar and delightful pub food. The accommodation was small but perfectly formed with everything you could want and sparklingly clean. A tiny bathroom but had a full sized well powered shower. The owners and staff were really friendly.

I was fortunate enough to book 2 rooms here recently for myself, husband & 2 children.
