Everything about this B & B is first class. We have just had a most enjoyable 3 day break there, this is our 3rd visit. It is spotlessly clean, positively sparkles! Sue and Bas are very friendly and welcoming, doing their utmost to ensure their guests enjoy their stay, and providing useful information on the area. Breakfasts are excellent, with... More

We were a party of four staying for 2 nights on the way to Mull. This B&B was recommended by friends and we weren't disappointed. The rooms are spotlessly clean with a good selection of toiletries and breakfasts were delicious with home made sausages. The owners are very helpful and gave us good advice on where to eat at night... More

We stayed for six nights in September. Nothing could be faulted. Warm and friendly welcome, very comfortable and clean, high standards, very good breakfast. We would return to Galloway simply to stay here again. A good base for exploring a very beautiful and historic area of Scotland.

We stumbled across this little gem travelling back to Lancashire from the Outer Hebrides one night on the A75 last year and have been back 4 times since.Reasons for us to continue to return and make the journey to Palnure, is that Baz and Sue make us so welcome and Muirfad is a place well worth the journey, for a... We can highly recommend this B & B which is well situated for visiting many places of beauty and interest. The Farmhouse itself has been decorated and furnished to the highest standard; the food is excellent and mine hosts extremely pleasant and friendly. We will be returning. John & Lynda Parkinson

We stayed at Muirfad Farmhouse for 2 nights on a recent walking holiday in Dumfries and Galloway. It was a real find! Sue and her husband were perfect hosts - tea & scones on arrival, plenty of recommendations for places to eat, suggestions for good local walks etc. The room was not large but tastefully decorated with a very comfortable... Excellent attention to detail, 5 stars in my opinion. Beautiful breakfast served by the owner in bow tie and White gloves. I would stay again.

We had a wonderful stay here with Sue and Bas who were both very helpful and accomodating. We had travel problems on the day of arrival due to trains being cancelled and arrived quite late however we were welcomed by tea and warm scones. Room was beautiful and had plenty of space and was nice and clean and fresh. Breakfast... More

A pleasant stay at Muirfad Farmhouse with welcoming hosts and a nice welcome coffee in the conservatory on arrival, where there was lots of current visitor information available. Breakfast has a good choice with great fruit salad, but keep an eye on dates on the preserves in the breakfast basket. The room was comfortable and well appointed, but the bed... More

We do not advertise wifi/Broadband access at guest entrance, It is advertised at the front of one of the two guest info packs in each room and is free on request. The beds are standard double beds and are firm you cannot roll into the middle. The preserves is fair comment and has been dealt with. More
