The three border collies on site are only some of the attractive features of this B and B situated on a working farm - fresh duck eggs are also a pleasant surprise. The situation is quiet - just outside Castle Douglas - the service friendly and welcoming, the rooms capacious and well-stocked and the food good.

Located a mile or so outside the village of Crossmichael and ten minutes from Castle Douglas, Airds Farm has wonderful views over the Loch Ken and to the hills beyond. We stayed one night in the self catering Airdside house but taking bed and breakfast in the main house. Airdside is good value, spacious and comfortable but a bit old fashioned.
