If you don't know that you are in the middle of the desert, this is very basic for an hotel. But having crossed the area in 4X4 on a Salar tour, you are very pleased with that kind of rustic comfort. The similar Salt Hotel (located in Tahua) is better than this one, but it is nearer to Colchani, Uyuni... More

The hotel was warm and welcoming with central heating in the rooms and hot water whenever we wanted it. We had brought thermals to wear at night but ended up kicking off the (very warm) bedding. My husband said the food was good - unfortunately I was ill and could not sample it. The owner was so kind - let... More

I stayed here in the middle of my Salar de Uyuni tour. Our night bus broke down before the tour so I did day one of the with about two hours sleep which was hard. I arrived at the hotel at about 4pm and was in dire need of a shower ect... The water had just been heated by the... More

Hotel has great views but rooms are very basic - more so than the Tayka Desert hotel which is much better than this place. Rooms are clean, there is plenty of hot water (but go for a shower as soon as you get there otherwise it runs out as solar heated) and electricity. Food was sufficient but not particularly tasty.... Large but cold room with “curtains” of sacking on string! Lying in bed with these open the view of the stars was fantastic. Surprisingly good shower. Large pedestal heater in the dining room kept us warm through dinner. Soup and freshly made rolls at dinner were excellent.

This hotel is situated on a hill top over looking the town of San Pedro De Quemez, a great location. The hotel is nicely constructed of stone. First impressions were good and the Manager was particularly helpful. The room was more than adequate with plenty of hot water for a shower. The electricity is turned off from about 10pm until... We had a triple room on our Bolivian trip and our room was spacious and clean. We arrived late but there was still plenty of hot water. The hotel/rooms are constructed in lovely stonework. Dinner was very enjoyable as was breakfast. We only had a fleeting visit here but it was a lovely stay and I would recommend this hotel.

We stayed here as part of a trip from San Pedro de Atacama to Uyuni. The hotel is surprisingly beautiful, in a little town called San Pedro de Quemèz. There's great views, great local food, coca tea for free (it helps to endure the altitude), warm and clean bed clothes,... It's a very good place in the middle of a... More

Given that the salt flats were rained out this year that impacted our tour, this hotel was a bright light in the overall experience. It is currently owned by management in La Paz but will be eventually turned over to the local community. We arrived after the electricity had turned off, but we were quickly served dinner by candlelight. The... More
