Stayed here two nights, found it to be okay but overpriced, perhaps due to it being peak season. Rooms were not the cleanest, smell of sewer came from our bathroom. Very central to everything. Food was very good and well priced. Sure there are nicer hotels in town though, maybe the Taye hotel.

Even by Ethiopian hotel standards, this hotel is poor. A central atrium between most of the rooms allows noise to permeate into every room, and even allows cars to run their engines directly outside your room. The food is mediocre at best. At times the chicken they serve is entirely raw, and don't try to have breakfast in a hurry... More

The hotel possibly had the best location in town and the new wing has clean functional rooms with hot showers. The restaurants serves good food and has a nice terrasse on the piazza

Quara is said to be one of the best hotels in Gonder and it is true as far as the new part of hotel is concerned.
