The fogera hotel has a wonderful garden and the house was nice some long years ago.. But that is all. The bathrooms are dirty and old. The staff seems not to be interested in serving the guests. It happens, that you wait for a coffee 30 minutes.

A place that has a great view and so much potential but is literally falling apart. We did not get any sleep because the bed was making so much noise! The service was terrible! Fogera features prominently on all Gondar's travel agents' maps. For some obscure reason Lonely Planet put it in the category "Top and Mid Range" hotels. Very nice view from the garden. That's it.
