The best thing about older hotels is that they are usually better furnished. Such was the case with this hotel. Parquet floors (and walls) in the room. Marble in the bathroom. LCD TV helped modernized the room that has aged. Breakfast was more acceptable compared to several other hotels I've stayed in Samarinda. It was simple and I was satisfied.

On a good note, the some of the rooms look newly renovated and is relatively clean for an Indonesian hotel of this class. The bad news, things don't work. This antique hotel is a well known hotel in older days. It has the classic cars as decorations. Fair room quality but for a high price. The location is easy to reach and near a market. I prefer other newer hotel when I go to Samarinda.
