Friendly hotel with only 10 rooms in the heart of sosua. Clean and comfortable, with delicious breakfast (pan cakes, omelette, ham and eggs) and a nice pool. Carl and his crew are so nice, allways helpful if you need something. Only 10 minutes to the beach, supermarket and bank only some steps away. I spent 14 days here and hope... More

We stayed for a week and felt very comfortable the entire time. The hotel has a great little pool and outdoor shower and is even located close to transport, shopping and two beaches. The ceiling fan worked great and we never needed the a/c as it was enough for a comfy night's sleep. The only odd thing was the rooster... More

We stayed for 12 days in the Tropix Hotel. It's a peaceful and very well looked after nice place in central Sosua. Juan makes the best pancakes I ever had. Tropix is the place to stay. We'll be back next year. Thank you for everything!

I first stayed here in 1997 and loved it from the start. They immediately made me feel at home. Returning 15 years later I found it exactly as I remembered. The rooms are comfortable and cheery. I love that I can relax by the pool or take a short walk to downtown and the beach. I don't want to be... More

We only stayed one night, but it was really relaxing to sit by the pool and enjoy nature. It's a very small hotel with only ten rooms, but it's away from the nightlife and bars and noise. If you are looking for modern and luxurious, this one is not for you. The rooms were basic and a little retro, but... More

We stayed here with a large group that rented most of the facility for 8 days. They were very welcoming to the whole group. The whole team: Alejandro, Karl, Coli, Juan, Jolie and others that I may forget at this time were very gracious all the time. The rooms were nice and clean. It is one block away from Sosua... More

My daughter (age 13) and I just spent a delightful week in this warm and homey small hotel. Thanks so much to Juan and Morena for great service and wonderful breakfasts by the pool. Don't let the price fool you! The rooms are airy and quaint with bright Caribbean decor. A very peaceful enclave away from the hustle and bustle... More

I was so impressed by the quality of this hotel! Close to the airport, walking distance to downtown and 10 min walk to the fantastic beach! Yet, quiet and secure and away from the hubbub of town when you want it. A great breakfast just added to the draw-will definitely keep this in my address book to return!

Tropic hotel is close to the grocery, restaurants, and beaches. It is quiet, clean, and great service. The breakfast was great and they even brought us plates by the pool when we had pizza delivered. This privately owned hotel is fantastic and I highly recommend it. The bad reviews from years ago are from different owners and don't apply now.
