Very nice hotel perched on a steep hill above Petra. Nice quiet neighbourhood, although the Adhan or Azaan from the adjacent Mosque can be heard at the appropriate times. The room was nice and warm and comfortable. Television in Turkey is via sattelite. There are hundreds of channels, but only one or two with an english soundtrack, so take a... More

We stayed in Candles Hotel in Petra for 3 nights. The location is very good, not more than 3 minutes to the entrance of Petra. On the way back there is a short climb up a steep hill. The view from the terrace and the rooms is great, it goes right to the hills of Petra. The hotel itself is... More

We stayed here two nights. The Lobby and reception area are a bit tired, so I wasn't expecting too much from the room, but was pleasantly surprised. The room was very clean, brilliant white cotton duvet and sheets, the decor was dated, but this is a poor country, everything worked and it was quiet. The hotel is situated right at... More

I recently spent 2 nights at this hotel while I was traveling through Jordan. The hotel itself is down the street and around the corner from the front gate of Petra, maybe about a 7 minute walk if you're doing it leisurely. There is a steep hill to climb to get back to the hotel, but if you walked around... More

The hotel is up a steep hill opposite the entrance to Petra Visitor Centre. We looked at a couple of hotels before deciding on this one. We were asked to name a price at both hotels... which was a little odd. Anyway we bargained and offered JD30 for a double room with breakfast and stayed two nights. (This was less... More
