We were a group of 18 people that had booked in Jagatram Nivas for a one night stay on our way to a trek. We checked out the next day and kept our luggage with the guesthouse with the aim of picking it up and moving to our destination. I had decided to stay on and so called the property... More

disclamer: you have to walk a bit to get to this B&B, how fast depends (obviously) you.. we found a bit more than the 10 min as written on the site (20-30min more realistic. bring a rucksack if possibile. we had bag and found that it was doable, but a bit of a hassle. great place, nice people. clean rooms...... Thanks very much for your positive review - we really value and appreciate your feedback. Regarding the walking times to Jagatram Niwas, we try to make it clear on our website, and in correspondence with guests before they arrive, that the guest house is around ten minutes' walk from the taxi drop-off point at Heena Cafe in Heini. The cost... More

Jagatram Niwas is a best place to stay in Mcleod Ganj. I was here for 4 nights and it was absolutely wonderful. People who are looking for quiet, peaceful place and looking for solitude then Jagatram Niwas is perfect. The service, rooms quality is very nice. The views of valley Jagatram Niwas offers are priceless. Food is delicious. Only thing... More

We had a really nice stay in Jagatram Niwas. What a panoramic view on the mountains ! This is certainly the best thing about this guesthouse, and every room can enjoy it. Owners are nice and helpful, room was clean, breakfast and dinner simple but good. You can also use the kitchen (with gaz, ustensils, drinking water and fridge) to... More

I stayed with friends in March 2012. At first we were a bit shocked with the walk to the property. We had to step out of the car, because the road was to steep for the car to carry us. After that we had to walk a narrow path to reach the guesthouse. Once there, you immediate forget about the... More

My my wife, another couple, and I spent 4 days here during our visit to McLeod Ganj. The rooms were excellent, the views serene, the owners kind, and the price right. I highly recommend staying in the hills above the hub bub of the villages below. I recommend walking in the wheat terraces nearby to remind yourself that you're really... More

What a great place to stay, the owner was so nice and I thoroughly recommend it. The rooms were private, quiet and incredibly clean. We had access to a kitchen with good drinking water and a fridge so we could cook our own meals occasionally. The long walk up the hill might be a negative for some people but after... More

This place is meant for those seeking solitude. Its away from Dharamsala and travelling to and fro from this place is difficult. It is located ahead of Dharamkot. But from Dharamkot the road to this place is very narrow, steep, hardly motorable, so if you are travelling by road on your own or in your own car, beware. The view... More

It was great to stay in the more peaceful hills above Bhagsu than in the middle of the action. It is a steep climb up the stairs but well worth the effort for the view. It's not totally peaceful. We had a room near the kitchen which was noisy on a couple of nights with people preparing and cleaning up... More

Awesome guest house in the hills above Mccleodganj. I am sure our trip would not have been as peaceful had it not been for the little home in the hills of Heini. A short walk brought us to all the restaurants of the surrounding towns, the waterfall and the path up to Triund. You will get your exercise, but that... More
