Looking for a place in Dharamsala away from the crowd of McLoyd Gunj, we discovered this property through Welcome Heritage Website. Six of us landed up at Grace Hotel on 10th June 2011 to start a 4D/ 3N vacation. The property is spectacular with history of 150 years scattered around various rooms and public places. The neighbourhood is a big... More

The hotel has beautiful views and loads of character and could be very good. However we didn't enjoy our stay at all. The room was tiny, with just a bed, sofa and scruffy wardrobe, (the bed was comfortable). The bathroom was awful - just a tiny wash basin and very basic shower - if you put the water heater on... This was one of the rare vacations when I chose to make plans & hotel bookings in advance. Well, I was extremely delighted I did that, as being a long weekend, all worthy properties were packed to capacity. I looked up this property on the net, having liked what I saw, I proceeded to make the booking for a 2N... More

the hotel has only a few rooms, all of them very stylish, with colonional type furniture. The Indian food was excellent but they serve no alcohol in the hotel, not even beer which is a shame. The service of the staff was very good and overall it was an excellent experience, it is very quiet since off the main road.... More

Really Nice hotel i nthe beginning of the trip makes your trip. The stay at Grace was really nice. Excellent views from the balcony/verndah. Nicely decorated rooms gives the feel of living in a heritage property. As most of their guests are foreigners, food was mildly spiced. So will not suite the indian tase buds.Same breakfast is served everyday. Good... More

Fantastic view from the hotel, individual rooms and public areas. However, cleaning and lighting leave something to be desired. Staff enthusiastic, Chef/waiters woolly hat never left his head! Doesn't accept credit cards.

Our entire Family stayed here for 4 nights and let me say It was an nightmarish experience. It calls itself the heritage but doesnt even come close to what heritage hotels are all about. Please dnt get fooled by the website which is done tastefully but the real thing is a let down. They say its 24* 7 room service... More
