We booked this hotel for one night. As we arrived, the welcome was friendly and we were brought to our room. This room was absolutely horrible. Very, very old furniture, the bed was stone hard to lie on and the smell is this room was just croce. The bathroom..... not clean and very dirty. I never would have taken a...

Clean and interesting room. The building is set in lovely grounds with nice pool and wonderful views. The place was very quiet when we were there so the staff rather stood around waiting! Tips expected. Our room had a small balcony which was nice, although it was cold to sit outside but in warmer weather would be lovely. Food was...

Set amidst stunning grounds, Jagat is easy on the eye and quick on service-but be warned that most often a tip is expected for every little thing. The rooms are lovely with 4-poster beds, cable tv and large bathroom. However, for those who prefer a softer mattress, Jagat's may not be the place for it. Also, complimentary water, tea and...

The hotel is clean and comforrtable. The rooms are interestingly furnished with antiques. The hotel itself, despite being in an interesting building, doesn't quite hit it off. Somehow it lacks character. We got the feeling that the staff were learning the ropes and the whole outfit will improve once they are more professional. Reception staff were a bit disinterested compared...

I was impressed with the management of Jagat Palace. None of the usual chaos getting our bags to the right rooms (as was frequently the case during our group's tour of Rajasthan). When we had a problem with something in the room, I phoned reception and someone zoomed up to to help us out. The diningroom was also overseen with...

Beautiful pool, gardens, fountains in the hotel, but rock hard beds, and surly service.
There were no coffe/tea services in the room, which was a pity as we had very early wake-up calls in the morning...but at least it was the one hotel where I could open my windows and walk onto a little balcony!!!
Our tour only spent one...

well i knew right from the start this would be the least impressive hotel during our stay in india. we had only booked 5-star hotels and were a bit reluctant about this one. glad to say it was not as bad as we had thought. definitely far better than the horrible 5-star hotel in jaipur. (see my review). the hotel...

We really enjoyed the setting and rooms, but the hotel itself is not in the center of town. We had a driver so this was not a problem; one could also walk it in about 20 minutes. Be warned: plentiful cows and erratic driving make this much less relaxing than the lake itself.
Beds are rock hard, although the four...

simply decorated, clean and with good customer service. It is not super expensive but the service is really good. All the room are the same. Beautiful gardens, swimmingpoool area. It is situated quite far from the city center but still is a walking distance. The shawer is amazing in the bathroom. It has hairdrier facilitations.
