This was a purely functional, clean hotel in the center of town. What it does, it does very well and we were completely satisfied by the stay. The restaurant is a separate matter -- it was excellent and memorable, with an excellent tour of Slovenian wines.

I was expecting a very rustic hotel. You know, old, musty, out-of-date, with a lumpy bed. As it turned out this was perfect. Not over the top modern but modern enough to be comfortable with a great bar and restaurant.

I stayed at Hotel Hvala for one night along with a tour group. Check-in for our moderate-sized group went very smoothly, and there is an elevator, which makes dealing with luggage much easier.
