“Very clean homely stay”

As soon as we arrived it was clear that the owner was conscientious about cleanliness. There was a polite notice asking us to remove our shoes and slippers were provided. The bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen was clean and tidy. The service was very friendly and more than helpful when we had questions. In the rear garden the was a 'chalet'... More

Well located for town centre and train services in to london, located in a quiet road. The rooms were of a good standard and the owner was very pleasant and helpful with any problems!

I stayed there and here's the load down. Jackie is ok but quirky - if she likes you yr ok. The house is full of little paper notes do this don't do that - which is really sooo irritating! First odd thing is the note telling you to take off your shoes. No breakfast - unless you do it yourself.... More

Yes, we really do appreciate feedback. We have never claimed to be a B & B. We specialise in offering self catering within the environment of a guest house as many customers really appriate this facility as they can also use the kitchen in the evening and not have the expense of eating out. a wonderful weekend and a conscientious owner . The review from brighton is a load of rubbish and I think lies. we enjoyed our time at mount joy, our room was very clean and the kitchen was always open and jackie was a joy ,what more could you ask for. david & carol jones folkestone kent

Don't know what the previous comment was all about, my husband and I stayed here last summer when visiting family nearby. The owner Jackie was very nice and helpful and went out of her way to help us when we needed to get somewhere and had no clue!
