Previously, when visiting my daughter who is a student at UC Berkeley, we stayed at the big hotels in the Marina and Emeryville area. If you are visiting Berkeley Labs this is by far the most convenient place to stay. The rooms are very simple, but quite aqequate, nice and clean. My neighbors were very quiet. (This may vary depending on what time and the age of cyclotron reserachers who are returning from a shift)
