The hotel is clean and close to the lake on the down side it is not new and some things need more maintenance but if you consider the price you have a very good place for the price, don´t miss the hot tub specially after a long day in the snow

Big Bear doesn't have a lot of lodging choices so this was better than most. The room was a good size and had flat screen TV. Originally, we thought that the Northwoods Resort was great. We were up in Big Bear when Christopher Dorner was running lose, and Northwoods had an available room that helped us feel safer than the single cabin we stayed in the night before. They quoted us a great rate over the phone and again when we checked in to the hotel.... More

Front desk staff was pathetic. Hallways and rooms are set at 80 degrees. Carpet filthy. Hot water went out for the entire hotel. Called front desk and they couldn't care less. Never again. DO NOT STAY HERE.
