The room was tiny and attached to another room which was fine except no children were supposed to be allowed. Our neighbors had a little girl who was very well behaved but unfortunately we could still hear everything through the thin walls and I am quite sure they could hear us as well; on our anniversary evening, There were light... My review is solely for the restaurant. My family goes every year for special occasions, most recently Christmas Eve. The atmosphere is prefect for Christmas eve, just the kind of mountain cabin feel you want in the snow! The good is great and they have a big wine selection for Big Bear. I highly recommend the sticky shrimp!!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at the Knickerbocker, yes there was a spider web in the bathroom, and yes Stanley does come across as a grumpy ole' man but its easy to over come that. Just talk to him for a few, he is a person like us all. HOWEVER, we had a great time. We stayed... More

I had to cancel our trip to the Knickerbocker at the last moment due to illness. I spoke to Stanley on the phone and advised him of our situation. I certainly expected to forfeit our LS deal at this point and was not upset about it. What I wasn't very happy about was the charges that Stanley placed on my... More

The owner Stan is rude and condecending. The place is not inviting or welcoming. And certainly not warm and engaging as most bed and breakfasts owners are. You are an inconvenience. The walls are thin ( you can hear people yawn), the beds are not sleep worthy, breakfast is better Teddybears... Breakfast ar 9 sharp or nothing. Well about breakfast... More

This is the second time we have visited the Knickerbocker for a birthday weekend in Big Bear. In 2010 we booked on the Living Social deal and had a great time, the room was a little small but the hosts made the weekend a great experience and the food was excellent. This year we intended to use another Living Social... More

Honestly it was not good deal. Room is very small but clean. They maintain cabin in good condition. I saw so many bad comments from trip advisor but I did not have any dispute. Breakfast is good too. I paid $38 for tax. Hum it was 2 nights tax. Prepare for paying tax. Big Bear Lake is really beautiful. Enjoy... More

When reserving the Penthouse Suite at Knickerbocker Mansion they made it more then it was out to be...In the memo is stated that we would get homemade treats and cold beverages throughout the day. Never did we get any cold beverages nor homemade treats. Downstairs near the kitchen they had coffee and or tea that you could take back to... More

DO NOT book here. They have the worst customer service. I called to complain about an experience I had, instead of maintaining good customer service, both owners got very defensive, allowed the conversation to escalate, even to the point where they hung up on me!! They even threatened me if I wrote a bad review. Oh well for them. Even... More
