My fiance and I had the most romantic and restful night. Very cozy and quiet, close to the village... The jacuzzi was large and accomodated us just fine. The shower was incredible... Overall, the best place we've stayed... Josh was a great host and was very informative when asked about other rentals. His customer service was awesome! We will definitely... More

on a whim we decided to chance a get a way to the snow with the hopes we could get the tail end of the season with some white powder. We read the reviews on Sleepy Forest Cottages and it sounded cozy and convenient to the village and the slopes. It didn't disappoint. About one mile half way between both... More

As soon as we heard it was going to snow up in Big Bear we decided to head up for an overnight adventure in the snow. Took a peek on TA as well as hotels.com and came across this extremely high ranked gem for a next to nothing price. On paper it looked like it contained every requirement I had:... More

My fiance and I decided to take a short 3 night trip to Big Bear over the summer and I happened to stumble upon this place over the internet. Glad I did. We booked one of the honeymoon suites which had a jacuzzi, fireplace, and kitchen. It was very romantic and the staff was very friendly. Quiet, peaceful, and private... More

I got a wonderful deal for a 2 night mid-week stay here thru Trubates, but one can also book straight online with Sleepy Forest and also get prices that are not too much more. I purchased the "romance pkg" (champagne, rose petals, & chocolate) and we stayed Nov. 7-8, 2011 in the Honeymoon Cottage-#209. It was just as advertised...the cottage... More

Hi, thanks for the great review! We really appreciate your feedback. We are looking into the few minor issues you discovered - replacing the remote in that cottage and the outlets as well. We discovered those outlets, which were put in probably at least 20 years ago, are loose fitting for some reason. To all guests, remember to let us... More

This little place was wonderful! The individual cottages were private, clean and cozy! The stay was friendly and accommodating and the location is minutes from the village, lake and ski resorts! We enjoyed having the small kitchen items and dishes to eat up leftovers we brought back to the room. We stayed in cabin 15 which was perfect for a... More

We stayed here when the new snow fell in early November, it was so pretty, clean and quiet. We stayed in a cabin with an upstairs loft bedroom (with it's own telly). There are dvds and videos available in the office, a great fireplace, a full kitchen and it is in a very convenient location. The staff were friendly and... More

We have stayed at Sleepy Forest before with our son and his family and stayed in a much larger two story unit. This time it was just my husband and I. We stayed in a small unit number 203. Just perfect for us. Cabins are always tidy, clean and very cute! We loved our stay and look forward to staying... More

What a wonderful relaxing time we had in Big Bear!. The accommodations were safe, comfortable, clean and relaxing. Just what we were looking for!! All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is great!. We only used our vehicle once to go fishing but other than that it was an easy walk or a nice bike ride... More
