If you are exhausted and need a place to sleep... here ya go. Gray granite tile floors? Really old bathroom with a tiny toilet you drop down onto. Shower was.. a "cave". It had hard water pressure that never really got hot. Old spring bed that sags. Goodwill decor and blankets. Oh yeah there's train tracks across the street with a train 3 times a night... It does have a small fridge, flat screen tv with cable and air conditioning.

This is more of a hotel for local contractors that work at the Rio Tinto Mine or Edwards AFB, and not a place to bring the MRS. Although 'dated' with it's 1960's and 70's bedspreads and curtains, you can tell they have done some tile upgrades in the bathrooms & it is NEAT, CLEAN, ORGANIZED with modern amenities of Microwave, refrigerator, TV, clean and fresh towels & Free WIFI. I do business with both of the businesses mentioned above, so it is convenient & close proximity to them. Mandy, the Manager is the most pleasant part of my visits in that she addresses the needs of each customer in a cheerful and pleasant way. I have stayed here a few times, and each stay has been restful and quiet.

This is an older little motel that has been updated. Refrigerator, flat screen tv, very nice clean spiffy bathroom. Comfortable beds. We got 2 rooms as there were 2 families traveling together, rooms were next door to one another and we could hear everything thru the walls. Trains came by regularly thru the night...but what you would expect this in this area as the highway follows the train route for hundreds of miles. It was a good little place to stop and the owner was very nice and accommodating. We would stop again.

I've stayed in a lot of hotels and Boron didn't offer many options, but this room was badly in need of an upgrade. The white coating on the toilet seat was worn off in places - at this point I'm not sure you can sanitize the seat anymore - which was very off putting in a hotel. There were only a few guests, but I was placed in a room next to another guest who was on his phone yelling until nearly 11 pm. It's seemed like a family owned hotel, that probably struggles for the lack of tourism in Boron. The shower stall was built into the wall and would only be accessible to someone less than 6' tall - you step up into a wall cut out that doesn't open up to the ceiling.

I give it 4 stars only because it is little pricey for this type of motel. However the room was spacious Nice TV, fridge. Beds were comfortable, linens clean. Bathroom good size and clean. Very quiet if not for air conditioning. I would recommend to somebody who is far from home, tired and sleepy.

We had not planned on staying in Boron but finally decided to spend the night there on our way to the California coast. The first motel was full but they advised us to ask at the Budget Inn. The lady at reception was very friendly and the room had 2 queen beds, and was correct and clean, so we decided to stay there. You can see it's not a totally new place but as long as it is taken care of I don't mind. The A/C was as noisy as in other budget places but I have learned to ignore that. Boron is a small place but interesting because of its boron/borax history so we learned a lot of stuff visiting the small museum that is located on the same street.
