I have been staying here for many years, several times a year. The service is always excellent, the staff overly attentive and gracious. I travel all around the world but always look forward to my stays at The Cypress Inn. In addition to being a beautiful property, they have a wonderful restaurant that is charming and the food is consistently... More

The Cypress Inn is charming and beautiful. It's clean, the rooms are perfect, the food is wonderful and the staff is over-the-top helpful and accommodating. This is the most dog friendly place we've ever stayed in. We've stayed in a few different places, but nothing comes close to the Cypress Inn. It was a real home away from home for... More

We have been staying at the Cypress Inn for a decade and always have a great time. There have been changes over the past few years that are not to our liking and that ruin the charm of the hotel, such as flourescent lights and pump soap in the bathroom, but thanks to a perfect location and wonderful staff, we... You can't beat Carmel for a vacation stop unless you stay at the Cypress Inn while in Carmel. The Cypress Inn really knows how to cater to both the human and canine vistors. The rooms are cozy but comfortable and come with dog bowl and dog blanket to cover the bed. The first night to make it easier I ordered... More

Husband and I visitng ATT golf event, made it a family adventure by bringing 80 pound Lab and 65 Golden along. You can't leave pets unattended in room but why would you take them on vacation then? Happy Hour on the patio isn't Yappy Hour despite locals and guests with every shape and size of pooch. If you are pet... More

Wow...I must admit...I absolutely loved this place. From the vintage feel to the Dorris Day movies to the great food and atmosphere, it was hard to beat. We stayed in room 204 which is a corner room. It faces the back courtyard. We ate breakfast everyday at Cypress and it was great - best continental breakfast I've had at a... More

We did not have a good stay at Cypress Inn. To start off it is overpriced and out dated. The rooms they show on their website are not accurate to the tiny room you get when paying $300.00/night. Noise, dogs barking and listening to your next door neighbor chat it up till 2:30a.m. was a bit much for me. The... More

We recently stayed overnight at the Mediterranean-style Cypress Inn and also spent two other nights for food and music only. It is very dog-friendly, with all sized dogs welcome in restaurants and rooms. There is a lounge with couches and other seating to enjoy jazz and above average musical entertainment. Hotel atmosphere encourages socializing with people and pets! Service is... More

Top notch staff and the best dog-friendly hotel in which we have stayed. Breakfasts were better quality and selection than the standard fare offered at other hotels. Great Thursday evening entertainment (jazz duo) in the Library Room. All the charm that Carmel has to offer is within immediate walking distance: restaurants, shops and the beach. The only complaint is the... More

We did not have the best stay here. The parking situation is difficult as previous reviewers mentioned, we had to move our car twice in the two days we were here. Be prepared for many dogs on the premises and the barking that entails. We had an upstairs corner room that had windows facing the street, both mornings we were... More
