The hotel has individual rooms opening up on a charming courtyard and garden. THe rooms are comfortable, small, homey. The bathroom is very small but everything works super well. The breakfast offered is very good and everything was well kept and clean.

We have stayed at the Happy Landing Inn for over 10 years, and investigated many of Carmel's Bed and Breakfast's. None have the combination of charm, location, quiet and comfort as the Happy Landing Inn. Dawn is an excellent innkeeper and we intend to continue to stay at the Happy Landing Inn for many years to come. R&R

I was a little unimpressed. The chairs in the sitting room were pretty horrible both in comfort, age and feel (just seemed dirty). It was very stuffy in our room and just felt a bit "aged". We've stayed here several times, with and without our dogs. Consistently wonderful and relaxing. Close enough to walk to the beach, I enjoy falling asleep listening to the soft sound of waves crashing in the distance. We decided to do a romantic get-away for my birthday with my wife. She found this place through trip adviser and we booked 2 nights for a weekend.
