we thought we would be spontaneous and decided to stay overnight at Carmel. the description sounded good, but this place is not for you if you are looking for a 3-stars accommodation. this place is very basic, old tiles and paint chipping off. Our bed sheet has a dried up remnant of a bug. It is definitely a place for...

Though this isn't the ritz, the cottages are "rustic" but the property location more than makes up for it. My recent stay May 9-11, included a friend and we both brought our dogs along for the fun. They provided two dog dishes so could feed them in separate rooms (if needed). They also provided a couple of "disposable pick up...

I wrote a review of Carmel River Inn last fall. My wife and I visited it again this past week, so I'd like to add some tips on choosing a cabin.

I travel all over and I always look forward to going to Carmel this hotel is great the last cottage even had a real wood burning fireplace
The Carmel River Inn is promising, with the forest setting and charming cottages. Unfortunately, the majority of people are staying in the outdated rooms. I can't speak for the cottages because we stayed in the hotel, but the hotel is more like a motel. The room was small and dark, the walls were paper thin, and the staff was completely nonresponsive.
Both nights that we stayed, we were up half the night because of our noisy neighbors. The first night, people came in around...

The hotel was great the staff was nice. Can’t wait to return the weather was perfect. My daughter loved the oversized tub. The wireless worked great to watch movies on line. Housekeeping had the room done early so my daughter could take her nap. If you’re looking for a beautiful quiet clean place to stay then Carmel River Inn will...

My husband and I love Carmel River Inn and stay there every time we go to Carmel. We have stayed at the inn and in the cabins. We like that we can bring our dog and enjoy walking on all the beautiful garden paths. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. I don't have any complaints and will be staying...

Stayed here with my family and my Mum a couple of weeks ago. It was really comfortable and clean. The two bedroom cottage, was exactly that. Two bedrooms and a bathroom, so don't expect a living area of any sort. Although, I think they have bigger cottages. Their idea of a 'kitchenette' is actually literally a fridge, coffee maker and...
