This is a quaint little motel-style hotel, with free wifi and plenty of parking. The room and bathroom were very clean. The room was a decent size with an amazingly comfortable bed. Breakfast was included and there were quite a few good options. The egg dish contained meat but the made a meat free one for us vegetarians, which was... More

Like the title says; nothing special about this Motel. It is located conveniently on the main road in Carmal, and you can park your car in front of your room. The rooms were clean, and the beds comfortable. But again there was nothing extraordinary. The rooms are overpriced, I paid $200 for one night, and there are better options in... More

Really liked this hotel. It's in a good location near the shops and restaurants and only ten minutes from the ocean. The wifi is good and you can park your car right outside your door. Best of all, as another reviewer said, the bed is like sleeping on a cloud. Would definitely stay here again.

If you are looking for a simple, less expensive stay, this may be your place in Carmel. We had a coupon deal, and love Carmel. This place is not my favorite place in Carmel. The Inn is at the other end of town near all shops and restaurants. You can walk to the beach. It is a nice long walk.... More

The hotel is ideally situated on Ocean Drive which is the main street down to the beach. It had everything we wanted within the room. We slept very well. Carmel is a very expensive place to eat and shop ,the Village Inn was very fairly priced. Breakfast which is included was a buffet ,unfortunately there were not enough seats for... More

This hotel was described in a review as a motel, which surprised me ... until I got into the room. The lodging is very basic: cinder block walls, spartan bathroom, etc. But they try to make it as comfortable as possible: their free breakfast is much more personal than a typical hotel chain, they gave us a bottle of wine... Randomly stopped in Carmel and found this great little hotel. We had a room away from the main hotel, it was lovely and like a cabin complete with a kitchen & dining table. The bed was amazing and I had the best night's sleep of my entire trip around California here. The breakfast was also great and so much more... More

Carmel Village Inn is very conveniently located on Ocean Avenue across from Carmel Plaza and Devendorf Park. We stayed just one night, passing through town on our way north. It's a throwback to the old Motor Inns -2 floors, all rooms face the parking lot. Parking is free and we had no trouble finding a spot even though we were... More

We had first a room with a wonderful view on a wall at one meter of the window (room 8), and after, because we had requested another room, we get one which was something beetwen a room and a cave (room1). Yet we had booked several weeks before. The staff was not kind at all and the breakfast was really... More

This is a simple, clean hotel with a great location right in downtown Carmel. I stayed there with my family, and it was great. It's sort of an old-fashioned motel where all rooms are on one side of the building (up/downstairs) and you park your car then walk 5 feet to your room. The breakfast was good, the staff were...
