We live in Monterey and like to come to the valley to get out of the fog and catch some sun. And this is a great place to stay! The lodge is older but, older doesn't mean bad. Beds are comfy, bathrooms are clean, and the pool is super cool. Reminds me of an old Hollywood pool. We always do... More

Seemed like a tranquil location, and it had so many good reviews on this site. When we got there, the first 2 rooms we were shown smelled awful, they had old carpeting and reeked of carpet cleaner. The third room had hardwood floors, but a smaller bed and was close to the road. The noise from the cars and trucks... More

I've stayed at Los Laureles Lodge 4 times, and each time was great. The rooms all are comfortable and have character (in a good way). The buffet breakfast has good variety, and the bar / restaurant is quite tasty ans sophisticated enough to satisfy "foodies" at moderate cost. The whole vibe is pretty relaxed and casual and just rustic enough... More

My cycling club holds its annual winter training camp in Carmel Valley and we have been staying at the Lodge for several years. The owners are amazingly friendly, helpful, and anticipate our every need. The facility is older but very clean and well maintained. A highlight is the complimentary breakfast which is simply awesome, including home made granola, hot oatmeal,... More

The staff at this place is great. They treat you like family. It is in a beautiful location in the middle of Carmel Valley, away from all the craziness, but close enough to also enjoy the coast. It is inexpensive, has a great breakfast, and a has a great property. The rooms are a little old/historic, but it adds to... More

I have stayed at Los Laureles Lodge now 4 times and is always enjoyable and relaxed. It is a bonus to have a bar and restaurant there with good food. The rooms are clean and warm. It is nice and close to Monterey, Laguna Seca, and Carmel. Carmel Valley tends to be a bit warmer than the others.

As cited in previous reviews, this is a wonderful country inn with a quintessential California history in the heart of Carmel Valley and close to Carmel Valley village. We were delighted to get the dinner and wine tasting package for the holiday weekend and took advantage of all the wineries situated in the village. We were in the Horseshoe suite... More

My wife and I travelled to Carmel Valley for a wedding at the Bernardus Lodge which is one of the nicest and most expensive hotels in the area. There was a room block at the Bernardus and the Los Laureles Lodge. The rate at the Bernardus was about $500 per night - a bit too much for our blood. Los... More

This was our first vacation in Carmel Valley, and we were lucky enough to stay at Los Laureles Lodge. The staff were very friendly, the food was delicious, the pool was great , and room 28 was quiet, with knotty pine walls that I love. We'll definitely stay there again!

We weren't sure what to expect when you book a room that was once stables, but we were very pleasantly surprised! Wonderful grounds, quaint clean rooms and excellent, friendly staff. We had dinner package several nights, enjoyed an outstanding rack of lamb. Loved the ambience and lovely country feel. Will definitely be back soon!
