So this is basically a Motel 6 with tennis courts. Simply said even calling this place a hotel is deceiving. The room entrances are all to the outside, the breakfast is below meager with stale bagels and very few choices. The new owner is supposedly trying to turn things around, but I'm not seeing it. Avoid and stay at a... More

I had to stay because I was taking a class in the same building. For the price its horrible. Were do I begin okay the only good thing is they allowed a couple of us stay in the same room for the same price. Other than that I walked in and the decor was old school, air conditioner older than... More

I sent a colleague to stay there because of its close proximity to Claremont. He was presenting at a conference in Claremont. He is very angry that I booked this for him. I booked it because I actually believed the most recent reviewers. I told him I would try to make it right by writing this review. First warning upon... More

We've stayed at the Hotel Claremont two or three times and my parents and friends of ours have stayed there. We must have had the same room-with-the-cigarette-burn-in-the-comforter as another reviewer: my feeling was that I was in a not entirely unpleasant 1980s time-warp. Our room (friends' and parents' rooms) has been spotless. (That would add up to either four or... More

This was a strange venue to be showing purebred dogs. At first I was not at all comfortable being a single woman with my 2 dogs--there were pimps outside soliciting their prostitutes. I was very nervous about leaving my RV outside. I relaxed when I saw another single woman and her dog appear from the room next to me and... More

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The safety of our guests is our top priority. We cannot always control the types of people that check in to our hotel, but if once they have checked in and we realize something illegal is going on they would be asked to leave. We haven't had this type of problem before,... More

The staff, Management and crew are really fantastic. The rooms are fresh and clean. There is no waiting upon check in and the friendly attitude of the front desk staff is great. The view is great and the convenience to stores, resturants etc is wonderful. Any time I am in the area, my hotel preference is Hotel Claremont.

I like this hotel. It recommends it for the travel of the pet going. It recommends it for people who like tennis.

The people who work here are friendly and helpful, but the place shows many signs that it's dying. The rooms are inadequately cleaned. There were long hairs on the blanket, cigaret burns on the quilt (a non-smoking room!), sections of wallpaper missing in the bathroom. Exterior posts are uniformly rotting at their base. The continental "breakfast" was insulting--the most paltry... More

Just returned from 3- night stay. Hotel space in town is tight during the Claremont Colleges Parent Weekend, and this looked like a good value. Unfortunately, we pre-paid for the entire stay -- big mistake! The room was wasn't even "OK" -- the shower had mildew along the grout lines, the shower faucet leaked, and the beds were terribly uncomfortable.... More

The room itself was okay, nothing special, and the beds were comfortable, but the grounds were filthy. There was trash by the pool that was left at least 24 hours, and the pool looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. I wouldn't even take off my flip flops, let alone actually enter the water. Yuck!
