My fiance and I opted for this place based on trip advisor recommendations and, for the most part, it was spot on. Awesome location across the street from the beach. The street noise posed little problem and the sound of the waves are what you hear most of. The place is small, clean, and quaint. Most importantly, the lady loved... More

I stayed here for 3 nights in April and can only echo what others have said on this site: friendly, helpful staff; beautifully landscaped and well-maintained grounds; generous continental breakfast (although I would have like to have seen some peanut butter for my toast); decent coffee. My spacious, tastefully decorated room faced the beach – I could hear the waves... More

What a Great Stay. I work in the hospitality industry in a very large hotel and know what guests expect. Steve and Fernando provided excellent service and were helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable and so were the beds. The hotel is close by to the beach and to whale watching and the reason for our vacation. The... More

We were expecting a mediocre hotel that we could spend the night in and move on. We were pleasantly surprised by the spacious room, updated bedding and wonderful staff. It's a family owned hotel and the location was ideal - right near the ocean. What a wonderful surprise.

Fernando is a wonderful and friendly host who has made this lodging a delight. Ocean breezes, the lapping of waves and vistas of the exercise crowd make this a spot for families or couples. This place is clean! The only drawback was a very loud refrigerator but Fernando is aware of this and provides earplugs for those who are bothered... More

We stayed in room 102, front facing the coast. This unit is just above the underground parking entrance. Sitting on the balcony you don't even notice it.. Very nice room looking across the PCH as all hotels do in the area. Hotel is very clean and people very attentive and helpful. We had only one issue during our stay, seems... More

Wonderful, quaint with gardens in courtyard, across street from beach and plenty of walking, biking. Staff is terrific, very friendly and courteous, Small hotel, older with plenty of charm and very clean. Trains track also across street, no problem for us and PCH is main route but not that busy. Would make this place a regular when staying in Orange County.

I have stayed here for business trips to Dana Point twice, 2 trips of two days with about 1 year between stays. Pros: Very nice staff, free parking, free wifi, free breakfast, clean, good relative value, better amenities (towels, linens, etc.) than you would expect for the $ Cons: Near Train tracks, No services (restaurant, business center, etc.) or common... The hotel is fresh, clean, and decorated nicely. Other hotel managers should come here for a sample of how a hotel should be run. The staff was friendly, the off street parking was free, and the hotel is right on the pacific. My only negative is it sits right on the PCH but there is nothing the hotel can do... More

Over all impression--- Hospitality they showed! The staff is very friendly and well-trained. A small breakfast section but served everything, especially hot food. Amenities were surprisingly good. Room was neat and modern. Bed was extremely comfortable. Free wifi service. There were trains passing by that location in the night time but it didn't really bother me that much. The facilities...
