Room was clean but dated, old furniture, poorly painted and decorated. Needs an update badly. We did a coastal trip of Oregon and northern California, this was the worst place for the price range.

We recently decided to try the Rodeway Inn in Eureka over our usual stay at the Holiday Express in Fortuna. Our choice of the Rodeway was based on Tripadvisor.com ratings and the fact that the Rodeway’s more central location in the town of Eureka was more conducive to our needs. We were willing to ‘overlook’ that the Rodeway, as compared...

nice room, friendly guy on checkin desk, close to town. No problems
We would stay here again on our way through Eureka, but if we were to stay for more than a night we would pick some where a bit nicer. It took ages with the door wide open to air it out from the room deoderiser, but it was clean and the bed was comfortable even if the room was dated....

Wasn't expecting much so not too disappointed.Clean beds and linens, road noise is louder than normal. The money we saved compared to the larger hostels paid for Mcdonalds. Focused on Disneyland and was able to look past some of the imperfections. Besides the noisy street and funny smells I would probably stay here again. (Kidding) Not sure how this rated...

The Hotel was on the main street thyrough town and was not very soundproofed. Rom was dated. The breakfast 'room' was a couple of tables set up in the lobby next to the reception desk, which while we were eating, the manager was arguing with someone on the telephone. All in all not a very pleasant experience
We stayed at the Rodeway for 2 nights in August, If you just want some where cheap to stay for the night then the rodeway will fit the bill. The room and furnishings were tired but were clean and tidy. the breakfast in the reception area was adequate. Its location is about as close to the 101 as you could...

This older and somewhat homely-looking motel is on a portion of Hwy 101 that splits into two one-way streets through town, but location is extremely convenient; situated just as you exit Eureka going northbound to Arcata. Access to North & South 101 is, joyfully, just a matter of turning out of the front or side driveway, and it is about...

We were a bit nervous after our last experience with Choice Hotels but no problems; from Dave, the owner, a very pleasant guy, at check-in; right up until we left. The room was large, the refrigerator had a separate freezer and cooling compartment. Good coffee maker although they only provided one package of coffee. The rest of the unit was...

This is a motel and by motel standards average other than terrible road noise which puts it below average. Also the wifi was so slow as to be useless. It seemed like a 56k baud dial up connection being shared by 100 guests. I used my slow t-mobile connection instead. Other guests talked and smoked outside my room till early...
