Spent one night with spa/restaurant package, deep tissue massage was just " ok", Siena # 16 rooftop quiet room was well appointed and comfortable with a gas fireplace, HOWEVER, the bed was really really hard, like one might find in a mexican hotel, we complained to the staff on checkout, and their response was, "we are in the process of... Had the most wonderful stay at this hotel and never gave it a thought to write a review well I'm putting that mistake right! Gorgeous Rooms. fireplaces (that work) food in the restaurant and the wine tastings were first class, such a sleeply little hollow with good shopping antiques anyhow, cant wait for my next trip State Side, the UK... I originally was going to give an average review based on our lackluster stay, but then we noticed we were double-charged for the first night's stay and I really hate inconveniencing myself to get my money back when I should have been charged properly the first time. If I hadn't noticed, they would have gotten away with an extra $200... More

We called and booked the room while on the road driving after it was recommended to us by a local. When we arrived at the Inn and before checking in we were asked if we would like to see the room. Because we were staying only one night, a small room was acceptable. Room was decorated beautifully and most importantly,... More

My wife and I really enjoyed staying here! The breakfast and service was great. One thing we really appreciated was that there was no traffic noise like some of the other places we stopped by to see because it is not on the main highway. Free Wifi and bottled water

I was looking for the consumate wine country experience, and here it is. Innkeepers could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Great room and a simply unbelievable breakfast. This was first class all the way. The restaurant is very nice in so many ways. Decor is a bit plain, service was first class, and the food was wonderfully special.... More

I went here this weekend for an overnight and I can't say enough good things about it. We were greeted with champagne and a very warm welcome by the staff. The room was darling and "homey" and was lovely to be in. The grounds are gorgeous in the midst of all these beautiful redwood trees and blossoming trees and fountains.... More

I was in Sonoma for the 1st week of March barrel wine tasting. I brought a group of us up and we stayed at the Applewood Inn. I had previously made my reservations with Sylvia, whom I later found out was one of the owners of the property. We checked in that Friday with Elizabeth. What a wonderful and warm... More

Lovely stay here. The inn is in a beautiful area, surrounded by trees, quiet and romantic. The restaurant on the grounds is fabulous - try the Chef's 5-course menu - I don't eat meat but the chef were very accommodating to substitute meat with seafood dishes. Everything was SUPERB!! Room was very nice, I recommend picking yours out online to... More

If I had to summarize my stay at Applewood in one sentence, I'd say the following: 'Lovely stay, quaint & charming Inn, nice location; however, I would not likely stay again until there is a bit of updating'. We stayed in Room 16/Siena. It was a top-floor room, not facing the road so it was quiet (which I'd requested &... More
