Stayed one night. Continued to 100 giants then. Kernville is nice small community. Do a bbq by the river. Rooms are a bit old fashioned. Do not expect much. It was clean though. Pool not heated...quite cold. Had dinner in nearby bbq place. Not good at all.

Centrally located. Owner is very pleasant and accommodating. Room 116 was spotlessly clean with a stocked kitchenette, refrigerator and microwave in room coffee. 2 beds, recliner, nice furnishings, fluffy non-motel towels. Nice game room with pool table neat the pool. Backyard with huge chess and checker boards. Porch swings outside your door. Walk to Sierra Gateway Market (excellent meat dept)... More

I spent the evening in the beautiful room of 107 after checking in with the friendly and informative front desk staff. The room itself was rustic-style, which is perfect for the area of Kernville (but not so much that I felt stuck in the sticks)! Everything was clean and in order with the slight hint of pine sol, so I... More

We had the minisuite which was a huge room with all the amenities including a screened porch with table and chairs. Parking was available at the front and back door of the room. Pool area is very nice. The only problem I found was the fact that the matresses were swayed into the center of the beds. They needed to... More

What a delightful surprise to have found the Kern Lodge on my first trip to Kernville to enjoy some fly fishing. This property is perfectly located in the center of town, right next to the Brewery. I was treated to the "Master Suite" which is actually a fully equipped two bedroom, two bathroom house! This is the perfect solution for... More

We rolled into Kernville on a late March 2013 evening to find RV parks and other lodges closed. We next took a chance with the Kern Lodge and were welcomed by the owner (and Rocky the dog). In no time, Sue had us checked and settled in her "biggest and best", which she offered us at a significantly discounted price.... More

My 14 year-old son and I have stayed at the Kern Lodge twice, November and December 2012, while trout fishing on the Kern. As I am no longer down with the sleeping in a tent when the snow is flying...or the temperature is right for snow, the Kern Lodge is an affordable (and warm) alternative. The knotty pine rooms are... Had one night lay over heading to Vegas found this place on trip advisor. Extremely clean and comfortable rooms are dated but comfortable, shower and bathroom great. Staff friendly and walking distance to great dining (that's Italian) family friendly.

The owner was very nice and upgraded us to a better room since the hotel was quite empty. Gas heater worked well in the very cold temperatures, and we enjoyed the large flat panel TV. This is definitely the place to stay if you are going to spend an evening at Kern River Brewing.
