Hotel was excellent, especially the staff was excellent and went out of their way to help me with some printing and scanning. The location is also fantastic. Would stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at the Grande Colonial for a weekend and had a pleasant time. The hotel seemed very small and quaint. When we arrived, we saw that the streets were very narrow and it was a bit awkward trying to find where to park for valet service. The valet seemed a bit harried as well, as he... More

We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Colonial. We are locals but wanted to have a mini getaway for our anniversary. We were so happy with our choice of hotel! We had a wonderful ocean view room where we opened the windows and listened to the ocean all night. The room itself was very well decorated and quaint. We... More

The service at this beautiful hotel is outstanding, and bar none the best service I’ve ever experienced at a hotel! Every staff member, from the valet, to the front desk, to the wait staff, was absolutely professional and very personal all at the same time. The staff seemed to genuinely enjoy being there! Grande Colonial is a gorgeous hotel located... More

Had a very pleasant stay at the Grande Colonial. We stayed in room 309 which was a handicap accessible room that was pretty roomy. The decor was very quaint and the bed was super comfy. Overall, the room was very clean and comfortable. One little problem was the water temp can change frequently while taking a shower. I guess that... More

We had a delightful stay at the Grande Colonial. It is the kind of charming old hotel that is a throwback to another era. We took advantage of one of their special promotions and got a great rate (make sure to check their website). We stayed in the main building and the 'partial' water views in one of our rooms... More

Our brief stay at the Grande Colonial was very nice. Upon arrival, we discovered we had been upgraded to a Junior Suite, which was very spacious. The rooms are definitely older decor, but that is part of the classic hotel. The bed was probably the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. Great location, great comfort!

My wife and I stayed at The Grande Colonial La Jolla in early May. From the time we came to the hotel to our departure we had a great experience. Benny, the valet at the hotel, was especially helpful with recommendations of restaurants and activities. The hotel is within walking distance to The Children's Pool, La Jolla Cove, and the... More

The Grande Colonial is an interesting property, with a main building and separate rooms out back. We were thrown off a bit by its layout at first, but then we saw how nice the accommodations were. Also, the layout allows for a level of quiet and privacy that was quite pleasing. It's a great destination for a simple, leisurely visit,... More
