Aaron was very helpful and his service was excellent. He went out of his way to make our stay comfortable when we had an obnoxious neighbor. Thanks Aaron!!

Stayed in the John Wayne suite. Jacuzzi tub was nice and fun though a bit small. Property was clean and well maintained. Different parts of the property seemed to be cared for a different levels. I called and discussed the available options with the front desk. They were very helpful and honest.
Our photography workshop group stayed here 2 nights while capturing sunrise images of the Alabama Hills and Mobius Arch. The rooms were very comfortable and facilities were excellent. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful, especially Jenny & Yolanda who I think, given the town's movie reputation, were slightly sceptical when I told them that Roy...

When we realised the A/C was not working, front desk (Billy) said he would charge us $10 (the Senior discount) to move rooms. This was because my wife had used the bath before we realised the A/C was not working so the room had to be cleaned again. He did give us a $10 discount when I said we were...

We do not charge an additional fee when there is a issue with a room that requires a guest to be moved. Our clerk mentioned that the upgraded room would have been different rate had the guest requested it originally. The guest was not charged an additional fee and we apologize for the inconvenience to the guest.

Not a bad place to get your head down if you are on the road. Nothing fancy but clean and reasonable service. For the price it is reasonable value although in high season it can be busy so book in advance. Great views.
Usually we stay at more budget minded places, but the off season price was too good to pass up. Stayed in the new wing, beds comfy, clean, good t.v, well appointed, and fabulous morning view of Mt. Whitney (from the 2nd floor). Lobby area is filled with fascinating movie memorabilia. Staff was extremely friendly. We will plan to stay again!
Reviewed this motel several years ago, and just stayed again. In my opinion, for, the money, this is the best motel in the valley. Beds are just the way we like them, not too stiff, like some of the other motels. There is also a winter rate here, unlike the other motels too. Before April 1st, we paid $72 for...

Super value - a spectacular view out of our second floor room, good linens, comfy bed, flat bed t.v., refrigerator, microwave, clean, good water pressure, and good lighting. Plus nice people who run the motel. Would highly recommend to anyone.
I have always stayed in the DOW VILLA HOTEL. I have made the hike up Mt Whitney about 30 times in 29 years. The US Dept of Agriculture controls the east side of the mountain, or the Lone Pine side. Each year, the procedure for getting a pass is different & more difficult. This year there is an on-line raffle....
