Hotels/Motels in Los Banos seem to be generally expensive compared to the rest of the Californian valley. Probably the best value for money is the "Americas Best Value Inn". Comfortably situated, large and fresh rooms, very good bathrooms, new TV, everything nice & clean, certain kitchen appliances provided, free wireless. Cheap hotel, clean room, good size. Bathroom was fine, toiletries provided. Water smelled a bit funny. The pool smelled awful (probably because of lack of use in the cold weather and no water treatment). Breakfast was awful. Bad coffee, orange color water being passed as orange juice, some cereal, and pastries bough by the dozen at the closest grocery store.
