My wife and I spent a long weekend here in June 2012 and loved the rooms with the fireplace, and in particular sleeping with the windows open to hear the surf right below us. The staff was friendly and we enjoyed wine and cheese on the rooftop terrace. There's nothing not to like about the Spindrift!

It's a great location, splendid service and a cozy room. From the happy hour in the lobby to breakfast delivered to our room, it was amazing! Walking distance to the aquarium, shopping and restaurants. I highly recommend The Spindrift Inn.

I travel a lot and this is one of the nicest places we have have ever stayed in. I really enjoyed my stay at the Spindrift. Very clean and comfortable.The service was exceptional. It's located right on Cannery Row and accessible to all the shops and restaraunts. Since Tripadvisor reviewers had rated the Spindrift Inn as most romantic, Tom suggested we check to see if they had an opening when we were in Monterey, which, surprisingly, they did! Ticks all the boxes and more... great location, lovely comfortable rooms and good service. Complimentary breakfast is a great way to start the day and the wine/cheese hour stsrts the evening... all adding to the experience! Highly recommended.

Could not have had friendlier staff, caring personalised service, we could not have been ma de to feel more welcome. Complimentary breakfast to your room and a complimentary wine and cheese late afternoon snack were unexpected and very welcome benefits from staying at this lovely hotel.

The room was beautiful and comfortable. Spent extra to have a waterfront room and it was worth it. We were able to walk everywhere, but found that we loved to sit (and nap) on the window seats with the cool breeze and salty smell....heaven.
