Tried to take advantage of the Travelzoo special, paid in advance then was told by the person at the hotel that they were swamped and would call us back. They never did. 5 minutes' driving from Monterey CA, there is the quieter, greener Pacific Grove. This motel is situated in a residential part of town, close to the beach, surrounded by trees, with terraces and very large rooms. (Off season) rates are reasonable. Continental breakfast includes bagels and cream cheese.
