Wow, what can I say about this place that hasn’t already been said!?! This year for my birthday, the boyfriend went way out of his comfort zone and took me to Paso Robles. He spent weeks researching places to stay. He kept coming back to Inn Paradiso, and for good reason - it was the perfect place for us. To begin, we have never stayed at a B&B so we really weren’t sure what to expect. We didn’t want something far from town, but we didn’t want to be stuck in a “commercial” part of town. So, Inn Paradiso was the perfect B&B intro for us. It’s not cookie cutter corporate, it’s close enough to town that you can get to restaurants easily enough, but it feels like you are in the country. When we first arrived at the Inn, we immediately noted the intimate feel of the compound. Gardens everywhere, nice pool area, quaint and quirky buildings. Loved it! Tova, our host, showed us to our room, building adjacent to the pool area and above the kitchen, and helped us get settled. Special note here, the bed linens are actual linen! And, they even iron them so they are nice and crisp. Outside of our room was this great little balcony that had a hammock. It was the perfect place to enjoy the afternoon breeze while reading. Our room had a quirky water closet that if you had the main door to your room open, and the water closet door open, you had an awesome view while sitting. Just had to take a picture because it was just too funny. For breakfast each morning Tova made something different and special using products from her organic garden. One day it was Spanish themed and the other day it was an omelette, potatoes salad day. Each day we had fresh orange juice and an incredible cheese board. I guess the best way to talk about the Inn is, if you want stagnant corporate blandness and blahness, this is not your place. If you want quirky, personality plus, good food and zeness, this is your place. One lesson we learned, don’t drive to the wineries on your own. Let Tova hook you up with a tour company. The roads are crazy and you really don’t want to drink and drive. We will be coming back and we’re hoping to stay there (like rent out the entire property) in the future with good friends and family. Tova is going to do some pretty exciting things with this place!!…
