We have been staying at Shenandoah Inn for the last 10 years on our annual trip to Amador County. Ken and Maria bought the Inn a few years back and have done outstanding improvements to both the rooms and the property. They are gracious hosts and always make sure that we are enjoying our stay. We travel alot and will... More

This was our third stay at the Inn and it's about time I wrote something about it. We were here for the annual Barbera Festival. The heat was 107 degrees and after the festival, we couldn't wait to get back to the pool. Everything is clean. From the parking lot to the pool - it's just a nice pleasant surprise... More

I stayed at Shenandoah Inn while visiting some local real estate. The rooms are nice, the staff is friendly, and the grounds are well maintained. The prices are very good, the view is nice, and the pool and hot tub are very clean. There are little notes posted all over this place! I found them to be amusing. Here's where... More

A friendly inn with an updated, slightly modern vibe situated in the Shenandoah Valley/Gold Country, minutes away from Amador County wineries and list-topping culinary destination Taste. From the outside it could pass for any generic, small town motel along the highway but inside the rooms are really quite refreshing, spacious (including bathroom), tidy and have a contemporary feel to them.... We stayed in about 8 different hotels and motels in the Sacramento, Yosemite, and Tahoe areas during our vacation, and without a doubt, this was the nicest, CLEANEST facility in which we stayed. It is in the middle of wine and gold country. And the manager, a Marine vet, was super! A lady called while we were checking out and... More

We were a group of three couples that enjoyed two nights and three days of winery tours. Ken checked us in and also assisted with the BBQ so we could burn some rib eyes. He also came out to the pool area to check on our home cooked dinner to see if we were all happy. His staff of three... More

A wonderful location for Wine Tasting, and just as wonderful of a place to call home for the weekend! The rooms have recently been renovated and are very comfortable. Ken was very hospitable and caring about his guests. We are looking forward to our return to Amador County and we will stay here again in 2014!!!!

I stayed at this Inn because it was moments from my elderly Grandparents home- it may have been the last time I ever get to see them- and hands down- we had the most WONDERFUL 3 day and 3 night stay! THANKS to the kind and caring owners who went above and beyond to accommodate us and our family during... More

Great hotel if you find yourself needed to stay in the Amador Wine country. Rooms are nicely appointed and the folks that run it, Ken and Marie, are really nice. Was impressed from my first stay and now often stay when in the area on businesss.

This was our second visit here. The windows face to the rear and overlook the rolling hills of the Shenandoah Valley, very green in April but not for long (typical for California. Very good location for wine tasting in Amador and El Dorado counties. As for restaurants go to nearby Amador City and Sutter Creek.
