We spent two days at this motel as we stopped in SLO, and can honestly say it was a very pleasant experience! The staff were very helpful, informing us about the Farmers Market on Thursday night! The motel was well placed with a pleasant walk into the town, clean, quiet and breakfast too!

This is the "only downtown motel." The location is very convenient; we walked to the heart of downtown. We knew the room was clean due to the overpowering cleaning agent smell (ammonia?) which amplified the instituational feel of the room. Great location. We can walk downtown for breakfast, come back and change our clothes (temperature changes fast in SLO), head back for some 'retail therapy'. The Downtown Travelodge has the best location because it is located only a few blocks away from the main downtown street. They also have the best prices, which include free wireless internet and a free continental breakfast.
