Warning! My Husband attended traffic school here.....and our car was vandalized. We called the Inn to ask if they had cameras. And the lady said no, and that they were not responsible for what goes on in their parking lot. Again be careful about staying here. Watch your car and belongings too. Wouldn't recommend this place to stay or if... More

My family and I enjoyed the huge pool, hot tub and exercise room. Was also close to the downtown area and beaches. Very good value for the money and extremely family friendly. Will definately return.

This Santa Cruz motel also doubles as a college dorm, so beware of dorm-like rooms and dorm-like noise, including undergrads hanging out on the balconies right outside your room. Some of the rooms have fridges or maybe even a couch; some have not much of anything. Free wireless Internet is one redeeming quality.

I don't think Santa Cruz has particularly good motel or hotel solutions. Being a recreational and vacation spot, motels and hotels in the area get away with murder. Overpriced and spotty quality IMHO, and the city seems to be looking seedier and more crowded. That being said, I sometimes come to visit friends and conduct business. I came into town... More

Took a very last minute family trip to Santa Cruz on a Saturday afternoon so we had to try and find a vacancy once we got there. We found no vacancy at 5 other motels before we saw this one, which looked somewhat inviting from the exterior. We were desperate at this point anyway and it was nearly dark out.... More

Stayed there last summer for one day to check out the university with the family. I'd rather have root canal than stay there again.

Rooms are average motel quality. Breakfast was much better: it's "continental", but this means a major layout of waffles, bagels, cereals, fruits, etc., not just donuts and bad coffee. Pool is good sized. Right next door is a park. 10 min walk to central shopping/dining district (Boardwalk much farther). When there were some room mix-ups at check-in, they knocked $10... More

Ugh.. imagine a cement block building with metal stairways that lead from one floor to the other..(which make lots of noise when people stump down the stairs late at night) When you reach your dorm, oops, door to your room, the front wall is all glass, (not very good soundproofing). Once you open the door, you'll see dorm room furniture,... More

Not the best or the worst. A step above a motel 6. If you are just looking for a place to sleep, this place will do. Don't expect a Marriott or Hilton, but the rate is good during peak season.

We chose this hotel because we thought it would be nice since it is supposedly affiliated with the university, but we were wrong. The first thing you need to know is that since the university has little dorm space, this hotel is now also considered student dorm housing. That said we actually had no problem with noise or crazy college... More
