This was our second time to stay overnight here. We like the location - easy walking to shopping and restaurants. The staff is friendly and competent and the room clean. Breakfast was nothing to brag about... just ok.

This is an older hotel. However, it is well maintained, rooms are clean and comfortable, beds are comfortable and the staff is helpful and friendly. It is in convenient location within walking distance of downtown Solvang. The breakfast is minimal but it okay. I would stay there again if I was to visit Solvang again.

Clean, great location, ok breakfast. Excellent value for $68 per night. If you are sensitive to noise the don't stay here. I pretty much heard all the neighbors coming and going and how great their bike rides were, etc.

We stay here when we go to Solvang. Rooms are cute and clean. We stayed at one other hotel and regretted not going to the Svengaard. Accommodations are dated, but the cleanliness and charm more than makes up for it. The staff is pleasant. It's located perfectly so we don't move the car hardly at all during our visits.
