We had left Fresno a little late after being unimpressed with the accommodation on offer, we were starting to worry that we might need to sleep in the car! We looked at one or two decidedly dodgy places in small towns just off the highway, then found the oasis that is the Squaw Valley Motel. The room was small, but... More

Extremely small room, but only paid $55. Had a swim in motel pool. Used communal fridge and freezer. Probably would not stay again as size of ensuite and room was an issue. Motel proprietor was polite. Grounds were very run down. Close proximity to the two N.P.'s had a bearing on us staying here.

I recently stayed at this motel due to work, it was the only place that we could get, I had been there for work a few weeks prior to this day at which time I stayed in another room next door to the to the room I stayed in this time. Room munber 2. However I was getting ready for... More

The plan was to camp at Kings Canyon National Park, but our GPS plotted a route from Yosemite through Sierra National Forest – a route that, as daylight was beginning to fade and our gas tank was running uncomfortably low, we realized was not going to take us to our destination. While trying to retrace our route around a reservoir... More

We stayed at the Squaw Valley Motel for 2 nights during a trip to Sequoia and Kings Canyon national parks, something I suspect is true for most visitors to Squaw Valley. We didn’t book the motel expecting luxury or first class accommodations-we wanted something in our budget ($55 a night) that was close to the parks and the Squaw Valley... More

Old but well maintained and clean facility. Cute little pool and amazing sky view in the night. Outdoor BBQ and dining tables and homey nostalgic backyard impression. Very nice for family vacation.

Went to kings canyon this july 4. Arrived on July 2 around 9pm after a whole day outside. The motel is run by a couple. When checking in, the man said I booked next day which I pointed out wrong. Then he gave me a card which wrote another guest name having the same last name as me. Again I... More

After arriving in Sequoia and pitching our tent the heavens opened then it got cold and miserable. With just enough light we decided to pack up and head for a motel along with many others judging by the convoy we had on the way down. After about an hours driving the rain had stopped and the sky had cleared and... More

Very expensive for what it offers, very old, run down, dirty! The walls are paper thin and you hear everything that is happening in the room next door. Squaw Valley is a very small place with nothing to do. Unless you have to stay here, don't! Stay in the National Park or go to Visalia or Tulare where you have... More

Having booked this motel some time ago, certainly before the April 09 review below, we were somewhat surprised and disappointed on our arrival at the motel. It certainly didn't look like the photos on the website and we thought that we'd made a big mistake. The room was just about big enough to accommodate the bed but we would have... More
