My husband recently surprised me with a trip to Sutter Creek for our anniversary. It was wonderful to get away and relax for the weekend. The couple who run the Hanford House couldn't be sweeter. They had wonderful suggesstions for local activities and restaurants. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. We will definitely be coming back here!

I really hate to leave bad feedback for the Hanford House which seems to please all other guests. Perhaps if we would have stayed in one of their traditional rooms we would have been happier. The room was very spacious, large bathroom, WONDERFUL bed and pillows. Loved the evening reception with wine and cheese, breakfast was wonderful and the home made granola was outstanding! Fresh scones delivered to your door in the morning...amazing!

This house is very well run and organized. Felt more like a European Inn than an American style B&B. They had a light wine and cheese spread in the evening which was a very nice welcome.
