My sister and I stayed in the "family room" here, which was actually 2 rooms with one bed in each room, separated by a door. We were treated with great kindness and friendliness from the owners and the cleaning staff. (We asked for extra blankets, and for a couple of other small things to make things more comfortable for us.) It was a clean, quiet, comfortable place to stay. It was a short walk to see the Cirque du Soliel show, Amaluna, and this was great since we had taken the train to Sacramento, and did not have a car. After the show, we ate dinner at the nearby bowling alley's grill, which was good. I was not able to connect to the wifi, but my sister did, so it was probably just my device that prevented that. Breakfast was small, and all carbs, but it got us going in the morning. I would definitely stay here again.

Overnight from SFO- SMF and back to TX but this one story "motel" place was TOTALLY updated, near restaurants and had a nice breakfast. Definitely a "one night stand" but so goo Bedding was excellent, bath amenities and flooring was better than expected.

My Southwest flight from Philadelphia was cancelled due to "air traffic control" on the morning of my departure. I immediately rebooked the next available flight which was the following day. Because of a situation out of my control I needed to cancel my reservation. A representative from hotels.com contacted the office of the Roadway Inn. The management of the Roadway Inn refused to cooperate to either cancel or rebook my room with the representative from Hotels.com. The representative from Hotels.com told me to contact the motel directly. I did. The first time I called and asked for a manager the woman who answered hung up on me. The second time I called I asked her not to hang up on me and stated my situation. She told me she had no access to help me and the manager wasn't there and he didn't keep regular hours. I asked her to take down my information. She told me to call back in the afternoon to speak with him. I did. The same woman answered the phone and asked me to hold on, then she came back and said the manager wasn't available. The manager refused to take my call. When I told the woman I was going to post a poor review she began berating me and telling me how rude I was and that I should do whatever I needed to do. So, I am. Beware of this business and check your charges. What awful management! I hope the $78 they collected from me was well worth it.

Management is smart and welcoming. Lots of lights in this large building. No swimming pool, but they take advantage of the few large palm-trees in the surroundings. It's a motel, though. Like everywhere, it is cramped and they have almost no choice for breakfast (what I took was good enough). The area is polluted, constantly try the fan in the bathroom. You get what you paid for.

Nicely decorated room, comfortable bed lots of power sockets, decent lighting, Fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The bathroom is very small but adequate and the shower is very good. Near enough baseball field to walk and you can watch their 4th of July fireworks off the upstairs balcony.

We chose this hotel for location and that it’s pet friendly. Not luxurious but clean and comfortable. Centrally located. It’s pretty basic but we only needed a place to sleep for one night. Reasonably priced.

Basic room, poor wifi and the breakfast is a joke. Only saving grace was relative proximity to town, particularly the old town/historic district. And close to the Baseball too. Particular problem too was that the hotel was arguing I had booked for two nights - I had originally but changed the booking to just one and had written confirmation from Hotels.com. Had to return to reception a couple of times to resolve the matter.

This little gem of a budget hotel nestled near the AAA baseball field off of Capital was a surprise. You have to drive by 4 or 5 Rundown 50s era motels before you get to the Rodeway Inn but it's worth it. The the whole hotel has been updated and is very clean. The online photos do not do it justice. The staff was very nice and congenial and the location is in West Sacramento and is convenient to downtown. I would definitely recommend it.

We stayed at Rodeway Inn to attend Sacramento State's graduation at Golden One Center, which was an easy walk from the hotel. The room had everything we needed, free parking, free wifi, refrigerator, and the room was clean and quiet and in a convenient location. I love that the room had laminate flooring, so much cleaner than filthy carpet. However I did notice that the light switches were very dirty, and so was the room door all around the handle and locks. Otherwise, easy check in and check out and a good nights sleep both nights we were there, a Friday and Saturday night. Also included was a free continental breakfast, coffee and packaged-type pastries. Price was good for the area. I would stay again.
