This place is a rip off! Watch the extra charges. It must be for the cobwebs, broken faucets, hot tub that had leaves, and the junk on the property. Watch out for stepping in sheep dung. Watch your money!

We opted for one of the smaller, less expensive rooms adjoining the library. After having dinner at a hotel a few miles away, we returned for a soak in the indoor hot tub before bed. The furnishing were quaint and comfortable and all the little touches made this place quite charming. My only complaint was the communal breakfast--it would be...

Thanks, Sally, for another lovely visit. Well worth staying on another night for the rest, and exploring the gardens and trails. Best, Suzanne & Errol
Our return trip was as memorable as the first. Quiet, across from the beach, historic and fun. Great for a family trip. There is even a llama on the property. The innkeepers have been running it since the 60's and it just gets better. Highly recommend it if you're going up North from LA. Apout 1 1/2 hours from San...

We knew we were going to love Howard Creek Ranch when we pulled up to the farmhouse and a bunch of goats came running around the corner and up to the car.
This is not the place for you need Wi-Fi, cell phones, TV and need cute matching B&B décor. Think more great grandma’s farmhouse chuck full of neat antiques...

A good collection of people around the breakfast table in a 19th century farmhouse, beach or trail walks and a secret Love Glade of Redwoods for meditation or " couples Adventure" according to the diary left in the tree stump.

We don't mind rustic, funky or unique and have stayed in a variety of places over the years. However, we did not expect rustic to mean dillapidated, falling apart and animal feces everywhere, including the picnic/barbecue areas. We were not made to feel welcome by Sally. Rather, we felt as if we were being scolded on more than one occasion...

We just returned from three nights at Howard Creek Ranch. It is a wonderful, unique, one-of-a-kind place. From the moment you arrive you are in the mood to do nothing but relax. Everyone that works there is warm, wonderful, and helpful. We ate dinner on the beach, watching the sunset, every night we were there. It is an easy walk...

When my husband saw the web-site, he thought it would be a quaint place to stop along our drive up HWY 1, but I was so freaked out by the time we drove away that I would not leave his side. It might have been the fact that there was no one there to greet us when we arrived at...
