The hotel desk staff were wonderful! They were friendly and helpful. I did experience a situation with one of the employees in one of there dinnning facilities which lead to me filing a serious claim with the DM. Other than filling out the paperwork two weeks ago I have not received a follow-up call or letter letting me know that... More

The hotel room was standard upscale motel quality; pleasant but not exceptional. The main attraction of The Lodge is its casino. The casino feels like your local friendly bar only bigger. It has a wide variety of slots, video poker and table games. The ambient lighting is just right. The place is big enough to generate crowd excitement but not... More

I like the Lodge. The restaurant and the buffet both have real tasty food. The hotel rooms are good too. I like then better than the Isle and Reserve Casinos but not better than the Ameristar. However winning money at this casino and getting comped is a quandary. They comp me, I go in use the comps and gamble and... More

The rooms are newly renovated and clean. The shower is great. The room was an odd shape and for some reason no work desk is provided. The WiFi was troublesome. In fact it seemed like it required you to resign in every thirty minutes. The staff was very friendly. The free use of a computer is available in the lobby.

We have played at The Lodge Casion in Black Hawk, Colorado several times during annual visits to Colorado ut have never spent the night. This trip we reserved a room there and was very pleased. The Lodge has 50 rooms on the 3rd floor of its building; they are large and very well furnished. Due to the hotel being built... More

When the Lodge first opened, it was one of the nicest in Blackhawk. Since then it has gone down hill. We stayed there last week. The room was average and the buffet was definitely not as good as it has been in the past. The best part is that for Tuesday lunch, seniors can get a great discount.

The main thing I like about the Lodge Casino Hotel is the fact that there is sunlight in the Casino. This Casino has big windows and you can see outside from almost anywhere in the Casino. The traditional dark reclusive casino atmosphere doesn’t exist here. I usually only play video poker. The machines here have only been so-so for me.... More

We couldn't get a nonb-smoking room at the big casino/hotel across the street, so decided to try The Lodge. Not a bad choice at all. The room was quite large, very clean and aside from a very small amount of street noise (like loud Harleys), a comfortable place to stay. The slots downstairs were looser than that big place across... More

The rooms are nice and updated. There is some street noise but nothing too bad. The buffet was really good.

I've stayed at The Lodge several times, they comp me rooms every month and I take advantage of those comps. The rooms are large and the beds are comfy. The bathroom has bed and bath amenities and there is a coffee maker in the room. The White Buffalo Grill is excellent, they comp me a meal there every month which... More
