Charming historic cabin with full kitchen, screened in porch. Others had parking issues, I did not. Walking distance to Flatiron trails, downtown. Dogs loved it. Humans loved it. Can't wait to go back. It is somehow even better to know you are staying at a national historic landmark...

Our group of 20 (six family units spanning three generations) stayed in the Chautauqua Lodge....8 bedrooms on two levels, each with its own full bath and surrounding a huge central living area with kitchen, large dining table, two large living rooms, and a full-length front screened porch. There's a convenient ramp entrance to the porch which made things super easy... More

I don't want to give Chautauqua Cottages a good review because I don't want you to go there. The more people learn about this great destination, the less likely I'll be able to get a cottage when I return. However, I have to tell you this is a great place. A couple minor drawbacks: Parking is limited. The spot in... More

The Chautauqua is a historic landmark of early 19th century cottages available for rent. We stayed in cottage #304 (also known as the Honeymoon Cottage) for 6 nights and would gladly return. The cottage we choose was an efficiency unit - queen bed, gas fireplace, full kitchen, and screened in patio. The slat wood blinds kept our cabin dark for... More

Lovely property, gorgeous scenery, friendly staff, well worth a day trip. But when I stay in a hotel, my one goal that trumps all others is getting a good night's sleep. And I didn't - not once (could be my fault), but two nights in a row, which is very, very unusual. (After going mostly without sleep one night, I... More

We stayed in a one-bedroom rental in August. Positives: historic cabins, nice grounds, proximity to hiking trails, small but full kitchens, well-run dining hall with views from wraparound porch. Negatives: strong musty odor inside cabins; some furniture, especially dining chairs, falling apart; cabins extremely close together; noise at night from wedding receptions at dining hall; curbside parking next to cabins... I have to agree with pretty much everyone else who's written a review about the Chautauqua, this is a great place to stay in Boulder! The only complaint we had was that parking for our cottage (#13) was scarce, but that is mostly in part to the surrounding cottages have year-round residents. Everyone was friendly though, staff and residents. The... More

The cabins are simply beautiful and very comfortable, not to mention the excellent location. The screened in porch was wonderful to sit on and enjoy the mountain air. We will be back for sure!

We love Chautauqua to hike and were so excited to stay in the cottages. We were not disappointed and can't wait to return. Awesome Flatiron view. Cottage was extremely clean and charmingly updated. Our kitchen looked like it had never been used. While we love the Boulder dining options, we were so relaxed and wanted to stay in the area... More

This was our first stay at the Chautauqua cabins. We stayed in cabin (#25) on the western side of the property. The cabin had two bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen, living room, and screened in front porch. The cabins are historic, yet contained modern accessories. The cabin had a full kitchen with coffee maker, dishes and silverware, toaster, etc (sans... More
