This B&B is so conveniently located that you don't need a car to go shopping, enjoy movies, or explore Naropa University across the street. The staff takes exceptionally careful and heartful attention to every detail. And the cookie jar with mouth-melting cookies and muffins -- enough to steel downstairs. I stayed in the Huron room, which I understand was recently... More

We stayed, for the second time, at the Briar Rose for the week of February 11-18 and we agree with Deborah D(another reviewer), that the Briar Rose is really unique and that while most of the staff is young, they are extremely friendly and competent. One day one of us walked in while the flowers were being arranged and it... More

I had always wanted to take vacation in Colorado and this year for my birthday present to myself, I did. I was excited to find a bed and breaakfast that not only worked with my dietary needs and preferences (vegan, gluten free) but also had a fireplace in the room and makes sustainable choices in the running of it just... Nice owners....but for the price....Stay somewhere else! I found the rooms to be dirty and dingy. The furnishings are cheep and mismatched. The romantic room above the carriage house has a really squeaky bed. OUTDATED! And the biggest disappointment was the breakfast. It was not set up to serve yourself. The portions were ridiculously pretentious. Our "organic" breakfast was prepared... More

We are very sorry this guest was so unhappy. Nonetheless, this review is markedly unfair. We made various attempts to please her. She was unhappy with the original room that was recommended to her by our staff person. This is understandable: all our rooms are different, and people have different preferences. We moved her to a different room, but it... More

The Briar Rose is a unique place. It offers an atmosphere that is cozy, vibrant, and endlessly loving. I find myself surrounded by fresh flowers, sunny rooms, tasteful wall hangings, and furniture that invites me to be at home (...the home I wish I had). The location is convenient and quiet. The staff is extremely friendly, and they go out... More

Full of charm, this B&B delivers a genuine opportunity to embrace new friendships. Having spent a total of several months at the Briar over many trips in the last year, I've had the opportunity to experience a range of weathers, chefs, and rooms. Tea at any time, customized meals, and exemplary service from a devoted staff ensure that your needs... More

We only stayed here a night, but it was such a welcome sight after a long flight from London! What do they do the duvets to get them so fluffy? I have never seen anything like it. It's a lovely relaxed place, very much someone's home, with books and paintings and so on. The staff were friendly and helpful, the... More

I pay attention to the details. I was pleased to know that the briar rose does so as well. They are genuine, and are not trying to be anyone other than who they are. I really enjoyed hanging out with the staff. The fresh flowers are lovely. The tea is lovely. And the location (right across the street from naropa)... More

This is a great Bed and Breakfast. It really is more of an inn, than a B&B. There are staff members present in the home. The room was very comfortable, quiet, and peaceful. There are plenty of sweet breads to eat, along with tea, that can be obtained any time of day. We stayed in the red cloud room. The... More

This certainly didn't live up to it's reputation or advertisements and is situated on a noisy road. We arrived late, so a key was left for us which we didn't have a problem with but the directions to find the bathroom that went with our room was a different matter! We found a broom cupboard, someone else's room but it... More
